Swarm descriptions appear throughout the Swarms.Finance app when people are viewing/searching for your DAO.

Swarm descriptions must be between 4 and 400 characters in length.

Preferably descriptions should be kept small, as often all 400 characters may not be displayed on certain sections of Swarms.Finance- There is an entire feature called a "Charter" which you can use to give your DAO a long and detailed description later.
