# How To Vote

How to Vote over proposals

Whenever someone wants to command the Swarm to perform an action, they create a proposal for the rest of the members in the Swarm to vote over and decide if the action should be executed by the Swarm.

Voting is how you decide if a proposal should pass (and execute) or fail (and do nothing).

When enough people vote for a proposal, it passes. Or, if enough people vote **AGAINST** a proposal it fails.

{% hint style="info" %}
It's important you always vote at your Swarm! You are apart of the Consensus! All votes are important votes!
{% endhint %}

To Vote simply visit your Swarm and head over to the "**Proposals**" tab and view the "**Latest**" proposals, and vote!
